Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods include ACH bank transfer, credit/debit card, or mailed check.

  • If you choose to save a card on file, it will be stored securely by our payment processor (Housecall Pro).

  • Overdue invoices may result in late fees, referral to collections, and liability for additional costs, fees, and legal expenses incurred during collection.

Liability Disclaimer

  • Making Mends Appliance Repair is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, or work attempted/completed by other parties.

  • We are not liable for consequential or incidental damages, including loss of food, time, income, or use of the appliance.

General Service Terms

  • Appliances must remain assembled and installed until the technician arrives. Additional fees may apply.

  • Some issues are not immediately diagnosable. In cases such as faulty control boards, all other potential causes must be ruled out before confirmation.

  • Special-order parts may require an additional trip fee for return installation. No additional charge applies for regularly stocked or standard-ordered parts.

  • Appliances with rodent/animal infestation, biohazards, or unsafe conditions may incur additional charges or refusal of service.

Warranty Terms

  • Repairs may include a limited warranty as stated on your receipt, covering only the specific parts and labor recorded in our database.

  • Warranty conditions:

    • Appliance must be installed correctly and used as intended.

    • Appliance must be kept clean and properly maintained.

    • Dryer vents must be cleaned at least once per year (more often for heavy use). Record of dryer vent cleaning is required for warranty claims that could be related to clogged vents.

    • Self-cleaning or extreme high-heat oven functions void coverage.

    • Electrical connections must be properly grounded and suitable for the appliance.

    • Dryer hose must not be kinked, crushed, or pushed too far back against the wall.

  • Warranty claims require inspection. If the issue is unrelated to the original repair or outside coverage, a separate diagnostic fee will apply.

  • Warranty does not cover misuse, neglect, unrelated issues (plumbing, venting, electrical), or conditions beyond our control.

  • Cleaning and routine maintenance (e.g., water filters) are not covered.

  • Warranty is subject to part availability.

Estimates

  • Estimates are valid for 3 business days and subject to change after that period.
